It can be a daunting test to find an attorney. If you know someone who has used an attorney, you can ask them and speak to their attorney. Word of mouth is a good way to find an attorney because no one will send you to someone they don't like unless they don't like you...
If you can't get a personal referral, you can try a local referral service which are usually found in larger communities. You can ask someone at your court house for the name of a local attorney referral service.
If you have a Deceptive Trade Practices Act claim or a DTPA claim, you can go to the Texas Board of Legalization website and search for a Board Certified Consumer Law attorney in your area. To become Board Certified in Consumer Law, an attorney has to show proficiency with the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act or DTPA. When you get to the link, input your zip code or the nearest major city. Then scroll the list. There won't be a lot because there are very few Board Certified attorneys in Consumer Law. You can skip the ones that work for the attorney general or other government agencies. The link is here:
